Within last 24 hours, many Outlook users experienced sudden crash after opening Outlook. Pacific coast users experienced it first thing in the morning on July 15th.

The reason for the crash is the newly released Microsoft update.


In order to resolve the issue, you will have to roll your updates back to a stable version. In order to do so follow these steps

Press Windows key + r > type cmd and press enter >

Type cd “\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\ClickToRun


officec2rclient.exe /update user updatetoversion=16.0.12827.20470

Wait for the updates to be installed and your Outlook should start normally after.
